During Prayer Meeting last night, I shared with those in attendance one of my prayers for EBCI. I asked them to make it a part of their prayers and now I am bringing it to you. Please pray that EBCI accepts and meets the following challenge. EBCI friends and family, from the ages of the youth group and older will participate in a mission’s project at least once in the next 5 years. We already have broadened our mission points, meaning we have more places to choose from to invest a part of our lives into the lives of others, often less fortunate. Pray about the following geographical locations and seek God as to where He would have you involved.

Kolkata – This is an ongoing partnership with KCF, where we do multiple types of missions. Here are some of the things we do in our partnership. 1) Children and youth activities, 2) Medical mission helpers, and 3) Encouragers and friends of the many females rescued from the sex trade. Late June – Early July 2016.

Bangladesh – Up to the present we have hosted a Pastors Retreat and have done some hands on mission projects but we are praying about upping the work load. If God opens this door, we will not only host the Pastors Retreat but also host a Women’s and Youth retreat simultaneously.  Pray that we will not overstep what God wants but fully understand His call for our involvement in what He is already doing in Kolkata. February 2017.

Beirut – This mission point, thus far, has been through our prayers and financial support. We are seeking God’s guidance on how we can put feet on the ground and work with Pastor Edgar in their Orphanage and with their students to encourage and do life investing work. No dates set yet.

East Berlin – We have, as a church, adopted a coming church plant in East Berlin. The Boeckel’s are still raising their funds and hoping to be in East Berlin this fall. Pray for them as they continue to do all they can to follow God’s call to Germany. Our goal is to send a small a team shortly after they arrive to help them do some ground work in interacting with those who live there to start a bible study for which a church can be built upon. Hopefully this fall.

Your prayers are needed for each of these mission points and your involvement in one or more of these is encouraged. Will you accept the challenge? Accept it now, plan on one of the trips soon, as mission involvement will, more than likely, light as missional fire within you that you will be glad to carry.

NOTE: My US friends are welcome to apply to be a part of these mission adventures. Contact me by email and I cen send you further information.

I love this time of year where we can gather on Easter Sunday morning to fellowship and worship together as we celebrate the Lord’s resurrection. We will meet at Prince Beach @ 6:00 AM. We are securing a bus transport from the church, so if you have an interest in getting a ride by that means, let us know ASAP. Our morning time together will consist of Great Music… A mini message from Pastor Jon… A Baptism celebration… And pot luck breakfast. Make sure you come with some morning goodies to share with everyone.

Friday at church I will be speaking on “Dying to Live”. I will bring a conclusion to that message on Sunday speaking on “I Will Arise and Follow Jesus… No Turning Back, No Turning Back.” I am now trying to figure out how to do a mini message with a sermon title that long.

Join us at the beach (maps will be available Friday). Let’s celebrate the Baptisms and dig into God’s word for a Bible Study and leave encouraged… Challenged and more excited about belonging to Jesus than ever before.

This past week, Felma send me a link to a great message (encouraging and challenging) concerning small groups and the necessity for God’s people to be involved in such a ministry. The message can be viewed here -

Thank you Felma.

Are you a part of one of our small groups? Can you use some midweek encouragement and fellowship? Wouldn’t you like to build relationships with some of the other church family and friends? All this and more can happen when we do life together through small groups. We have small groups in different parts of the area… Sharjah… Bur Dubai… Mirdif and beyond (this one moves locations among the small group member’s homes)… Jumeirah… The Greens. Check these out, find one near you. If there is not one near you let us know and we will see if we can find a home to host one in your area.

God is at work in our Small Groups. Join one today.

If you have questions you would like answered, pleasae submit them to me by email or leave a comment. The comment will not appear on the blog as I have them requiring approval due to junk comments being made.

I would like to answer 1 or 2 questions a week. Questions that are important to you. Depending on the number of questions I receive will determine if or when an answer will come. EBCI family and friends get priority. Sorry my US contacts.

Let me hear from you.
