This part of this letter is a sneak peak of what is coming next weekend. On Good Friday and Super Saturday. As we celebrate Easter, we need to remember that Jesus Himself fits the words to the left. These three words which are the principle lesson of that powerful passage. And to be like Jesus, we need to understand that God has chosen us for Himself --- set us apart for His purpose --- appointed us for things so much greater than ourselves.

What is God's purpose for you? What is His purpose for you at EBCI? How has God gifted you? Thank the Lord, for He has gifted us to fulfill the purpose He has for us... Not only in our lives personally but in and through us for the life of EBCI.

Please take time this week to read the first chapter of Jeremiah - each day.

I want to whet your appetite - I hope it worked.

Let's get our purpose for being here on.

Isaiah 40:31 HCSB
... Those who trust in the Lord
will renew their strength;
they will soar on wings like eagles;
they will run and not grow weary;
they will walk and not faint.

God has proven His faithfulness to each of us and has blessed EBCI for more than 2 decades. God has not given up on us, nor has He forgotten us. What He has done is put us in a situation where we must, to keep our spiritual sanity, continue to do that which He has already placed us at EBCI to do.

Since we stopped meeting at the villa, we have seen visitors each week in our new location (DECC)... and on a completely different day. Every time I do the welcome and see new faces, I am reminded of God's encouraging greatness. We have new membership applications being turned in. I am seeing, just in these two areas - God saying... Be encouraged... Don't give up... Soar...

I hope you will be with us on Saturday at 10 at DECC. A bus will leave the villa at 9 for those needing a ride. We will have a Friday, I can't do Saturday gathering today at 2. This is a great time of fellowship, laughter, singing, eating, cooking and no telling what some of the wonderful folk will do... like paint toenails. AGAIN, I am not taking my shoes off to show anyone or allow anyone to paint any of my 9 toenails. Nuff said.
