Magnificent Mondays

Please make plans to join your Brothers in Christ at this wonderful fellowship - Breakfast included. That is if we all bring food to eat. I will be bringing a sausage and egg casserole. This is always the hit of the party when it shows up. Be on time for I cannot promise those who come late will be able to enjoy the succulent... prepared that morning... fresh as rain... awesome... Estes dish.

If you come late I promise to let you know how good it was.

This will be the last breakfast before summer break. July and August we will not meet. We will resume this ministry in September.

Make plans to be a part of this powerful time of prayer and fellowship. We are co-hosting this event with Fellowship of the Emirates and the Arabic Church. It begins at 8 pm.

I will be sharing each day one of the prayer focus points. Explaining how we are approaching our prayers for this time of seeking God, His direction and blessings.

I will be leading the first prayer focus.

1. Focus on Him Before we pray we have to be focused on Him. 2 Cor.4:18 says; ‘Yes we have some trouble now, but we have to fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen…. (verse 18)      Take time to declare* Who He is. Declare His Names, His Greatness, His Power over your own life, over the churches, over the city, over the nation. He is Lord and His Throne, will last forever and ever; a scepter of justice will be the scepter of His Kingdom.  Psalm 45:6 When Esther went to the King to ask her request, she was not focused on Haman; the enemy, but she was focused on the King, she was engaging Him       Take really time to whole heartedly worship Him; to be engaged with the King of Kings.       Declare also together Psalm 112:7: ‘We will have no fear of bad news: our heart is steadfast, trusting in the Lord.’
Tomorrow I will speak to the focus on the churches and pastors.

A few weeks ago in one of my sermons (Jeremiah 1), I spoke of spiritual gifts and asked those present who knew what their spiritual sift was. Not many raised their hand. This is ok and not ok.

It is ok because it allows us to know there is a need among the body which needs to be addressed and a helping hand to each of God's children to discover their spiritual gift... how to unwrap it... and how to adopt the working of that gift into your life for the service of the Lord at EBCI now and wherever God moves you, if and when that time comes.

If you are interested, there is a Spiritual Gifts Survey available through LifeWay. I would encourage you to go through this. This survey is not the final say so but it is a good tool to help you think about the Spiritual Gifts in scripture and consider them to the life you see God working in and through you.

When God's people discover and use the gifts God has given them through the local church it honors God and builds and strengthens the church. EBCI needs her people to discover, unwrap and adopt their God-given gift(s). Join us as we work together for greater Kingdom things. Discover the joy of living out your purpose which God gave you before you were born (Jeremiah 1).
