July 19 Deadline
A SPECIAL CALLED MEETING WILL TAKE PLACE AT THE END OF SATURDAY'S WORSHIP SERVICE TO GIVE AN UPDATE AS TO WHERE WE ARE IN THE SHIFTING PROCESS. PLEASE MAKE PLANS TO BE WITH US SATURDAY AND HANG OUT AFTER THE SERVICE FOR THIS ENCOURAGING BUT NOT YET FINALIZED INFORMATION.
WHAT YOU THINK IS IMPORTANT
As the above information shares... we will be holding a meeting immediately after church on Saturday. As we pray about the shifting situation we are dealing with, it seems an up or down decision will be coming sometime this month. I am seeking your thoughts, or maybe better, your willingness to hold a church-wide fellowship meal and service to celebrate whatever God allows. A time of fellowship, good food, testimonies, music and a call to unite together for God's purpose for EBCI. A celebration of our standing together and moving forward and each of us making a greater commitment to the ministries of EBCI... for His glory and namesake.
EBCI has so much to be thankful for and we can trust God to see us through this time but also bring us out of it with grace and excitement about the days ahead. I am praying if God releases us from our current location to return to the villa that on that first Friday, even though many are traveling, that the house will be full and there will be no doubt God loves us and He has greater things for us in the coming days. If the Lord chooses to keep us at DECC, I pray we will rise up and seek the Lord in how we are to do ministry from a non-permanent location. That God will lead those who attend to join and help us carry the mantle forward for those who will come after us. Our days here are His days. Our lives here are His lives. Our time here is His time. Let us come together and be good stewards of all of His things.

WHICH CAP DO YOU WEAR?
Every day, we who are God's children must choose which cap we will wear (figuratively). There are two CAPS from which to choose. The wrong one leads to trouble. The right one positions you to make it through the day bringing glory to God. It must be your choice. No one can wear the cap for you. The cap you choose must dictate your day. The cap you choose must rule your heart. One of the caps is easy to put on. The other cap is not so easy because it demands a lot from us.
NOTE: The second cap mentioned is sometimes worn by some but it is worn as a lie. They wear it but it really doesn't mean anything. It is more of a fashion statement, which says... "look at me". The message of that cap is to proclaim to all you meet... "look at God".
This Saturday I will be preaching from Jeremiah 14. This is an interesting chapter with multiple lessons throughout. The focus of the message will come from verses 7-9. The first paragraph in this section gives a hint to where God has led me, in His Word, for this message. Please take time to read the chapter through a few times before Saturday. Read it and then look at the focus verses and re-read them asking God to speak to you about these verses.
